The Physicians

Martin D. Broff, M.D., a graduate of Jefferson Medical College, received his training in Allergy and Immunology at the Children’s Hospital in Boston.  He is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and by the American Board of Allergy and Immunology. He treats both adults and children for problems with asthma, allergy and related diseases.  Dr. Broff is on the Active Staff of the South Shore Hospital and the Children’s Hospital and is a Consultant to the Staff of the Good Samaritan Hospital.  He is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at

the Harvard Medical School, a Fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, & Immunology and a Fellow of the American College of Allergy, Asthma, & Immunology.  He is a member of the Massachusetts Medical Society, the Massachusetts Allergy Society, the New England Society of Allergy and the American Thoracic Society.  Dr. Broff has served as President of the New England Society of Allergy.

Michael C. Young, M.D., is a graduate of Harvard College and Yale Medical School, received his training in Allergy and Immunology at the Children’s Hospital in Boston.  He is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and by the American Board of Allergy and Immunology. He treats both adults and children for problems with asthma, allergy and related diseases.  Dr. Young is on the Active Staff of the South Shore Hospital and the Children’s Hospital and is a Consultant to the Staff of the Good Samaritan Hospital and the Northeast Specialty Hospital.  He is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at the Harvard Medical School, a Fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, & Immunology and a Fellow of the American College of Allergy, Asthma, & Immunology.  He is a fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians and member of the Massachusetts Medical Society, the Massachusetts Allergy Society and the New England Society of Allergy.  Dr. Young has served as President of the Massachusetts Allergy Society and has been selected for inclusion in The Guide to Top Doctors.  He was honored by the Asthma & Allergy Foundation of America as Physician of the Year.  Dr. Young is the author of the Peanut Allergy Answer Book.

Margaret Vallen, M.D., is a graduate of Boston University School of Medicine.  She completed a residency in internal Medicine and fellowships in Pulmonary and Critical Care and in Allergy and Clinical Immunology, all at Boston University Medical Center.  She is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine with subspecialty certification in Pulmonary and Critical Care and she is certified by the American Board of Allergy and Immunology. She treats both adults and children for problems related to asthma, allergy and related diseases.  Dr. Vallen is on the Active Staff of the South Shore Hospital and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.  She is a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Allergy and Inflammation at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.  Dr. Vallen is a member of the American Medical Association, the Massachusetts Medical Society, the American College of Physicians, the American Thoracic Society, the New England Society of Allergy and the Massachusetts Allergy Society.
